Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star Jonathan Majors celebrates his upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe debut by adding “Kang” to his autograph. Lovecraft Country star Jonathan Majors is set to make his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as the iconic Marvel Comics villain Kang the Conqueror in 2023’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Majors already appears to be getting in character, having recently added “Kang” to his autograph.

Majors recently made an appearance at Golden Apple Comics in Los Angeles, where he added his signature to the store’s replica of R2-D2 from Star Wars, which numerous other special guests have signed in the past. Golden Apple immortalized Majors’ visit on Instagram, explaining that the actor said it was the first time he had ever signed something as “Kang.” Majors also took a photo holding a copy of 1986’s Avengers #267, which prominently features Kang on John Buscema and Tom Palmer’s cover art.

It was first reported back in September that Majors had been cast as the MCU’s Kang the Conquer for the then-untitled third Ant-Man film. In December, the film was officially announced as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, at which point Marvel confirmed that Majors would, in fact, be starring as Kang. As Golden Apple alludes to in its post, there has also been much speculation regarding whether or not Majors’ Kang will factor into Marvel Studios’ ongoing Disney+ original series Loki, though the jury is still out on that one.
