James Argent’s TOWIE ban has reportedly been lifted two years after he failed a drug test which led to him being axed from the ITV show.

The 33-year-old television star, who has completely turned his lifestyle around in recent months, is said to be hopeful that this will set up his eventual return to the show.

It comes shortly after James appeared in a spin-off show also produced by TOWIE bosses alongside his former co-stars Georgia Kousoulou and Tommy Mallett.

According to the Mail Online, James was ‘thrilled’ to get back in front of the cameras and believes his recent hard work is starting to pay off.

“James was thrilled to be back filming on Friday. He’s spent the last six months focusing on his mental and physical health and now finally he’s starting to feel the benefits,” an insider told the publication.

“His relationship with Lime Pictures is also on the up, which he hopes will one day mean he can rejoin TOWIE and put everything that’s happened in the past behind him,” the source concluded.
