U.S. department store Macy’s has announced the appointment of Maly Bernstein as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 13th September, 2021. Bernstein joins the company from her role as Vice President of E-Commerce at CVS Health. Prior to that position she was Vice President of Beauty & Personal Care with a multi-billion-dollar portfolio.
The executive will report to Tony Spring, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bloomingdale’s, and will be based out of Bluemercury’s Bethesda, MD, headquarters. In her new role Bernstein will oversee the growth and strategy of all aspects of the Bluemercury brand, from its digital platform to stores. Bernstein has been lauded for her ability to connect with consumers through ‘breakthrough’ platforms.
