Hampshire, Holyoke malls to ease mask-wearing policies

Hampshire Mall and Holyoke Mall will no longer require shoppers who are fully vaccinated to wear a mask starting Saturday, the same day that Massachusetts will relax its mask-wearing rules statewide.

Management at both malls are encouraging all guests to continue to wear a mask as individual venue rules may differ (some businesses may still require masks for everyone). Those who are not fully vaccinated will need to wear a mask.

Leadership changes for Gazette’s parent company

Newspapers of New England Inc., the family-owned parent company of the Daily Hampshire Gazette, announced a series of leadership changes last week.

Current NNE president and CEO Aaron Julien will move into the role of chairman. He replaces longtime NNE chairman John Kuhns, who is retiring. Chuck Goodrich will assume Julien’s role. Meanwhile, Dan McClory is being promoted from chief financial officer to chief operating officer of NNE.
