Brooklyn (N.Y.) Erasmus Hall’s Moses Walker — a four-star recruit as the industry-generated 247Sports Composite’s No. 150 overall prospect, No. 16 linebacker and No. 1 player in the Empire State for the 2022 class — committed Thursday on Twitter at 6 p.m. ET to Rutgers over Penn State. In the tweet, which included a 19-second video, the Nittany Lions’ logo initially appeared for seven seconds before transitioning to a Rutgers edit that denoted his Scarlet Knights commitment.

Walker left everyone guessing, simply writing a caption in the tweet that said, “This is HOME.” He tagged coaches from both staffs — from Penn State head coach James Franklin and assistant recruiting coordinator Alan Zemaitis to Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano and secondary coach Fran Brown — in a tweet that has racked up more than 100,000 views since the announcement.

Lions run game coordinator and running backs coach JaJuan Seider appeared to send a cryptic message about Walker’s decision against PSU. In a tweet published Thursday at 6:24 p.m. ET, Seider attached a gif of a Penn State running back celebrating a touchdown, with the caption, “Good luck tackling the #LawnBoyz.”

The 6-foot-2, 220-pound Walker bolsters a Rutgers class that moved past Alabama to No. 11 in the 247Sports Composite Team Rankings. Rutgers now boasts a haul with six four-star commits — only Owensboro (Ky.) High quarterback Gavin Wimsatt (94th) and Princeton (N.J.) Hun offensive tackle Jacob Allen (118th) are higher in 247Sports Composite — among 15 pledges, doubling as the Big Ten’s No. 4 class.
