Piers Morgan has hit out at David Walliams in a rant directed at famous people he said are nice to his face but then like nasty tweets about him

Piers Morgan has branded David Walliams “the worst” after engaging in some “sly” behaviour on Twitter.

The former Good Morning Britain host, 56, hit out at other celebrities for liking “nasty” tweets about him and thinking he won’t notice, saying that he always spots it.

One of his Twitter followers branded Britain’s Got Talent star David, 49, a “prime culprit” and Piers agreed.

Piers had tweeted: “Always fascinating to see high-profile people that I know quite well ‘liking’ nasty tweets about me… presumably thinking they can do it on the sly and I won’t notice.

In a later tweet, Piers clarified that he doesn’t mind people disagreeing with him, but doesn’t like when they are nice to his face.

“I don’t mind them disagreeing, in fact I like that,” he posted. “I do mind them endorsing nasty little tweets if they’re all over me like a cheap rash when we meet, or ask me for favours.
