The 2000s rock band My Chemical Romance created its latest makeup line, its second in partnership with U.S. cosmetic company HipDot. It is inspired by their 2010 album, ‘Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys’. The line includes a white eyeliner duo set, a white primer pot, a four-piece lip gloss set, and an eyeliner palette. These are based on the band’s Killjoy alter-egos namely Party Poison (Gerard Way), Jet-Star (Ray Toro), Fun Ghoul (Frank Iero) and Kobra Kid (Mikey Way).

All the items are vegan and cruelty-free, for instance, the liquid lipsticks contain desert Cactus Flower lending its hydrating and nourishing properties to the product. Last December, the band launched its first makeup line called ‘The Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge’. That limited-edition collection was vegan as well and free from animal testing. It sold out in a day.

In the past, the band has been vocal about their stance on animal testing and that they’re against any kind of animal cruelty. In an interview with PETA’s youth division, lead vocalist Gerard Way said that when he was in school, teachers punished children if they refused to dissect animals. But he says learning can still happen with alternatives to dead animals.
